Love as I have loved you
Jesus did stuff. As we commit to knowing God more, we feel invited to do stuff too.

Living generously is not something that we do automatically or naturally, but when we do, who Jesus really is seems to become a little clearer.

That's why as a church, we're committed to learning how we may become more reflective of God's love for our neighbors by serving them in whatever ways we can.

And it's so fun! We've yet to give more than we've received in any project and we have the best time together working together.

Because our mission is not just great community projects, but we want be transformed into greater connections with God as we follow in the footsteps of Jesus. We look at our Ohana projects as training wheels to help us become who we are meant to be.

We have two types of projects going on. Sunday Projects and our One Project.

Sunday Projects happen once a month. On the first Sunday of the month, instead of our regular worship service, we do a service project together.

We've cleaned a recovery cafe, threw a Luau for the neighborhood, packed care packages for an African orphanage, washed laundry for a local drop-in center and much more.

Its always fun, its always a great chance to get to know one another better, and we always eat afterwards!

We also have a continual project. We work on this through out the year--weekdays and weekends, when we feel like it and when we don't. Through it, we try to grasp how to live lives of loving God and our neighbors as a lifestyle and not just on Sundays.

This year we've been allowed to partner with a local highschool to make their mission our mission. They want to prepare kids for a brighter future academically and socially. So we adopted that same goal.

To be clear, we are not adopting the school. The school is not looking for a parent. Instead, we are coming along side to join what God is already doing there. We have no intentions of religious conversions. We just want to learn to love.
